About the Collaboration

This concert brought together the unique sounds of Poland's first jazz string quartet and a world-renowned pianist known for bridging jazz and classical music.

ATOM String Quartet

Founded in 2010 by violinists Dawid Lubowicz and Mateusz Smoczyński, violist Michał Zaborski, and cellist Krzysztof Lenczowski, ATOM String Quartet pioneers the jazz string quartet genre in Poland. They uniquely blend classical instrumentation with jazz improvisation, creating a captivating musical experience that transcends genre boundaries. They have collaborated with numerous international artists, including Branford Marsalis and Bobby McFerrin.

Vladyslav "Adzik" Sendecki

Considered one of the world's top pianists, Vladyslav Sendecki has been a composer and pianist with the prestigious NDR Big Band since 1996. Born in Poland, Sendecki is celebrated for his ability to break down barriers between classical and jazz music. His compositions are often deeply personal, inspired by his life experiences and environment.
