Krystyna Stańko Ensemble at Inlet Theatre (2015)
On November 8, 2015, the Inlet Theatre hosted the acclaimed Polish jazz group, the Krystyna Stańko Ensemble. The performance featured Krystyna Stańko (vocals), Dominik Bukowski (vibraphone), Piotr Lemańczyk (bass), and Joel Fountain (drums).

The Krystyna Stańko Ensemble brings together prominent figures from the Polish jazz scene, led by the versatile vocalist Krystyna Stańko.
Krystyna Stańko (Vocals)
A distinguished Polish jazz vocalist, guitarist, composer, and radio journalist, Krystyna Stańko has a career dating back to 1988. A graduate of the Academy of Music in Katowice, she has released numerous albums and collaborated widely. She is also a respected professor of musical arts at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk.
Dominik Bukowski (Vibraphone)
Dominik Bukowski is a leading jazz vibraphonist and composer, recognized multiple times as the best in his field by Jazz Forum magazine. A graduate of the Katowice Academy of Music and now a lecturer in Gdańsk, he has released nine albums and contributed to over 50 recordings, collaborating with international artists like Dave Douglas and Nigel Kennedy.
Piotr Lemańczyk (Bass)
A highly respected Polish jazz bassist, Piotr Lemańczyk is a long-term collaborator with Krystyna Stańko and a key figure in the Polish jazz scene. He contributes both as a performer and composer on many of the ensemble's recordings, including the 2021 album "Fale".
Joel Fountain (Drums)
Joel Fountain is a versatile Canadian jazz drummer, percussionist, pianist, engineer, and producer based in Vancouver. He has toured worldwide with Maynard Ferguson, played with the Grammy-nominated One O'clock Lab band, and performed at prestigious international jazz venues.
Ensemble's Work
The core trio of Stańko, Bukowski, and Lemańczyk forms the heart of the ensemble, featured on acclaimed albums like "Secretly" (2010), "Kropla słowa" (2012 - Jazz Forum Album of the Year), "Novos Anos" (2016), and "Fale" (2021). Their music often features lyrics by Stańko and compositions by Bukowski and Lemańczyk, showcasing their significant contribution to Polish jazz.
