On April 14, 2023, the Norman Rothstein Theatre in Vancouver hosted the internationally acclaimed Sendecki-Siegel Jazz Duo, featuring Vladyslav Sendecki on piano and Jürgen Spiegel on drums.

About the Band

This virtuoso jazz duo gained worldwide attention with their albums "Two in the Mirror" (2019) and "Solace" (2021), reaching iTunes jazz charts globally. Their music dissolves boundaries between jazz, classical, and world music through intense musical dialogue.

Often dubbed the "smallest orchestra in the world," their extraordinary piano-percussion combination creates performances that are sometimes powerfully dynamic, sometimes emotionally tender. They conduct an empathic dialogue between their instruments, taking listeners on a fierce musical journey characterized by powerful, intimate, narrative, romantic, minimal, and occasionally psychedelic sounds, delivered with playful liberation and spontaneity.

Vladyslav Sendecki, born in Gorlice, Poland, is a renowned jazz pianist permanently associated with the NDR Big Band since 1996 as a composer and pianist. He has been ranked by greats like Al Jarreau among the top pianists of the last century.

Jürgen Spiegel has been the driving rhythmical force in the highly acclaimed Tingvall Trio for over 15 years, considered a figurehead for German Jazz internationally. He is also an established producer.
